SSSCE Holders
1. Five (5) passes (A-C) in three (3) core
subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science,
Agricultural Science and Mathematics and at least two (2) elective subjects in
Business, General Arts or Science.
2. Six Passes (A-D) in all subjects,
including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science, Agricultural Science
and Mathematics and at least three (3) elective subjects in Business, General
Arts or Science. The aggregate must be 20 or better.
B. WASSCE Holders
1. Five (5) passes (A1-C6) in three (3) core
subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science,
Agricultural Science and Mathematics and at least two (2) elective subjects in
Business, General Arts or Science.
2. Six Passes (A1-D7) in all subjects,
including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science, Agricultural
Science and Mathematics and at least three (3) elective subjects in Business,
General Arts or Science. The aggregate must be 30 or
better.
C.
General Business Certificate
Examination (GBCE)
Six (6) Passes in General Business
Certificate Examination (including English Language and Mathematics /
Arithmetic). The Cumulative Aggregate must be 24 or better.
D. G.C.E A Level/RSA Stage III/ Ghana
Commercial Examinations Stage III/Advanced Business Certificate Examinations
1. Five (5) credits in G.C.E Ordinary Level
including English Language and Mathematics.
2. Five (5) passes in R.S.A Stage II/Ghana
Commercial Examinations Stage II/General Business Certificate Examinations
(English Language and Mathematics / Arithmetic) plus at least two (2) passes
(2) in G.C.E Advanced Level in Business, Arts or Science subjects.
3. Three (3) passes in R.S.A Stage III/Ghana
Commercial Examinations Stage III/ Advanced Business Certificate Examinations.
E. Advanced
Business Certificate Examinations
Five (5) passes with a Cumulative
Aggregate of 20 or better.
F. Diploma
in Business Studies (DBS)
Five (5) passes in Diploma in Business
Studies (Accounting Option).
G. Post-Secondary
Teachers Certificate
In addition to
the Post-Secondary Teachers Training Certificate, applicants must have Five (5)
G.C.E. Ordinary Level credit passes in English and Modern Mathematics
OR
Passes in three
(3) core subjects (English, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Core
Science/Agricultural Science) plus passes in two (2) elective subjects in
Business, General Arts or Science.
H. Mature
Applicants
1.
Must be at least 25 years old
2.
Must have had at least two (2) years of relevant work
experience
3.
Must pass a written examination and/or an interview
I. International
Applicants
1.
All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the National
Accreditation Board (NAB) now Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for
determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.
2.
Applicants with WAEC qualifications can apply directly to the
University.
3.
Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in
the case of applicants from non -English speaking countries. International applicants are also requested
to acquire Non-Citizens Ecowascard as a pre-requisite for regularization of
admission. International applicants who fail to provide evidence of having
acquired this card will not have their admissions regularized.
