A. SSSCE Holders
1. Five (5) passes (A-C) in three (3) core
subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science,
Agricultural Science and Mathematics and at least two (2) elective subjects in
Business and Secretarial/Accounting or Language Electives or General Arts
Electives or Science Electives.
Or
2. Six Passes (A-D) in all subjects,
including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science, Agricultural
Science and Mathematics and at least three (3) elective subjects in Business
and Secretarial/Accounting or Language Electives or General Arts Electives or
Science Electives.
B. WASSCE Holders
1. Five (5) passes (A1-C6) in three (3) core
subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science,
Agricultural Science and Mathematics and at least two (2) elective subjects in
Business and Secretarial/Accounting or Language Electives or General Arts
Electives or Science Electives.
2. Six Passes (A1-D7) in all subjects,
including English Language, Integrated Science/Core Science, Agricultural
Science and Mathematics and at least three (3) elective subjects in Business
and Secretarial/Accounting or Language Electives or General Arts Electives or
Science Electives.
A.
General Business Certificate
Examination (GBCE)
Six (6) Passes in General
Business Certificate Examination (including English Language, Business,
Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies.
B.
G.C.E A Level/RSA Stage III/ Ghana
Commercial Examinations Stage III/Advanced Business Certificate Examinations
Two (2) passes Advanced Level in subjects excluding General
Paper or Three (3) R.S.A Stage III/ including the English Language.
C.
Advanced Business Certificate Examinations
Four (4) Advanced Business Certificate Examinations (ABCE) pass
in any of the following areas:
1.
Diploma in Business Administration
2.
Diploma in Accounting
3.
Diploma in Office Management
4.
Diploma in Information Technology (Passes in this area should
include Office Administration and Practice/Human Resource
Management/marketing).
D.
NACVET or NVTI
Senior Stenographer Certificate or Stenographer Secretary (i.e.
four (4) passes) plus three passes at SSCE/WASSCE/O Level in English and any
other two (2) subjects.
E. Diploma in Business Studies (Secretarial, Management and Accounting option)
Five (5) passes in Diploma in Business
Studies
F. Post-Secondary Teachers Certificate
1. In addition to Post-Secondary Teachers
Training Certificate, applicants must have Five (5) G.C.E. Ordinary Level
credit passes in English and Modern Mathematics
OR
2. Passes in three (3) core subjects
(English, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Core Science/Agricultural Science)
plus passes in two (2) elective subjects in Business, General Arts or Science.
J. Mature Applicants
1.
Must be at least 25 years old
2.
Must have had at least two (2) years of relevant work
experience
3.
Must pass a written examination in English and a Special Paper
(Office Administration) and/or an interview.
J. International
Applicants
1.
All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana
Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility
for admission to the institution.
2.
Applicants with WAEC qualifications can apply directly to the
University.
Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case
of applicants from non -English speaking countries. International applicants are also requested
to acquire Non-Citizens Ecowascard as a pre-requisite for regularization of
admission. International applicants who fail to provide evidence of having
acquired this card will not have their admissions regularized.
